We make Ricotta from scratch, it’s a taste sensation.
Ricotta is the base for many dishes, sweet or savoury and it’s a wonderful and quick recipe to make, even with left over milk.
Have you thought about making Butter?
We make butter in this class which we turn into a couple of different compound butters to expand our repertoire, like Cowboy Butter & Vegemite Butter.Join us
Cream Cheese is next with the rich and creamy cheese, being quite simple to make. (Of course we turn it into Cheesecake for our Dessert)
Labneh is one of my favourites, and we’re also going to make this, to enjoy as a crudite platter for our dinner as well as take some home in jars with Olive oil and herbs.
About The Post & Rail:
The Post and Rail is a Cooking & Gardening School located at 7 Bill James Court Compton, on a 5 picturesque acre property. In a normal home kitchen designed to provide a relaxed and sociable, learning experience. Please allow an extra 10 mins travel time from the centre of Mount Gambier.
We pride ourselves on our professionalism, warmth, spirit of fun and love of cooking, especially the eating of delicious food with friends old and new after each class.
Every guest in our kitchen receives a warm welcome, Tea or proper Coffee and their own apron to wear for the duration of the class, equipment, and ingredients to create the dishes learnt in class.
