In this workshop, we’re going to make a moorish peanut brittle. Easy to make, lasts for ages and is perfect for gifting with a little hammer. How fun!

We’ll also make a meringue wreath which can be eaten, or used as ornaments. How cool is that!

Raspberry Linzer cookie is one of my favourite cookies. A delicate vanilla shortbread, sandwiched between delicious raspberry jam. Yum!

Gingerbread cupcakes with Cream Cheese Icing. My goodness these are moist and last for ages and really hold those Christmassy flavors well.

We’re also going to make Christmas Pudding in a jar using a preserving method. This keeps the pudding for months and is easy to make and absolutely delicious and rustic to eat it from the jar…… which is what we’re going to do! Of course we’ll have to make proper Brandy Custard to go with it.

Lunch is also supplied.

About The Post & Rail:
The Post and Rail is a Cooking , Gardening & Art School located at 7 Bill James Court Compton, on a 5 picturesque acre property. In a normal home kitchen designed to provide a relaxed and sociable, learning experience.  Please allow an extra 10 mins travel time from the centre of Mount Gambier.

We pride ourselves on our professionalism, warmth, spirit of fun and love of cooking, especially the eating of delicious food with friends old and new after each class. We start with home made morning tea, proper coffee and tea and finish with lunch.
