In this delicious class we’re going to make our own Hot Cross Buns from scratch, perfect for making this Easter. I’ll show you my tips for getting a beautiful rise and the right amount of flavour.
Moving on to the chocolates, I’ll show you the easy way to temper Chocolate that will have you looking like a pro! I’ll also show you how to get the best results out of Milk, Dark and White Chocolate.
Chocolate Parfait anyone? Everybody loves parfait. This is one of my favourite things, where we make a delicious and easy Chocolate Mousse from scratch but then we freeze it and it becomes one of the best frozen desserts I’ve ever had.
We’re also going to make our own Bounty Bars and Cherry Ripe. (it’s so easy you’re going to be shocked!)
Lastly, to have something savoury for lunch, we are going to make baked mini cobb loaves.
About The Post and Rail:
The Post and Rail is a Cooking, Gardening & Art School located at 7 Bill James Court Compton, on a picturesque 5-acre property. Classes are held in a home kitchen designed to provide a relaxed and sociable learning experience. Please allow an extra 10 mins travel time from the centre of Mount Gambier.
We pride ourselves on our professionalism, warmth, spirit of fun and love of cooking, especially the eating of delicious food with friends, old and new, after each class.
Every guest in our kitchen receives a warm welcome, tea or proper coffee upon arrival, and their own apron to wear for the duration of the class. All equipment and ingredients are provided, and a copy of the recipes used during the class are emailed to guests so that they can be recreated at home.
