Sometimes you just need a day out, having fun creating delicious foods and learning new techniques to spoil your family with afterwards. A day of fun making Macarons, Cinnamon Scrolls, Eclairs (my brother’s absolute favourite) and a Vanilla Slice to swoon for. Book the class, wear your stretchy pants and let’s get baking!

In this class we’re going to bake Macarons, they’re easier than you think and also wonderfully customizable to whatever flavour you’d like.
Next is the unforgettable Cinnamon Scroll and there’s a “Nigella moment” when the Vanilla imbued icing just flows in a homeward bound way, anointing the tops of the scrolls and filling in all the nooks and crannies with the exuberance of sweetness. (I could go on but I think you know what I mean!) Everyone in your circle is going to love that you know how to make these!
After that we’ll make a crowd favourite of Vanilla Slice (very hard not to lick the bowl after this one)
Lastly are the eclairs…… This is such a good recipe to have up your sleeve. It can be an eclair or a profiterole or a cream puff….. It’s as versatile as a salada!
Lunch is also supplied and possibly need a stretcher. It will be a token gesture of savouriness so that we can feel good about all the sweets!

The Post and Rail is a Cooking, Gardening & Art School and Retail Nursery is now located at 58 Riddoch Street Penola Penola is 30mins drive from Mount Gambier and the Cobb & Co building is a heritage listed building in the centre of Penola, across the road from St Mary McKillop school and one door down from Pipers of Penola. Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow for introductions and getting started on the coffees.
Every guest in our kitchen receives a warm welcome, morning tea or proper coffee upon arrival, and their own apron to wear for the duration of the class. All equipment and ingredients are provided, and a copy of the recipes used during the class are emailed to guests so that they can be recreated at home.
