Birds don’t get much more vibrant than rainbow lorikeets, and I had so much fun painting these three. Brilliant blues, fiery oranges, yellows and greens gave me plenty to play with, right down to the little details in their feathers.
Huddled together on their branch, they look as though they’re having a good chat while helping each other tidy up. I love their tilted heads and cheeky expressions—it’s a cheerful painting full of colour, companionship and personality.
