I couldn't resist painting this glorious King Protea, with all its intricate detail and beautiful layers of petals. The soft peachy pink background is such a pretty complement to the flower, allowing those lovely shades of pink, cream and gold to really shine. I particularly enjoyed capturing the fine details of the flower's centre and the way the petals open out so magnificently. A beautiful statement piece with a soft, romantic feel.
Every painting is hand-wrapped by me with a handwritten note — a piece of my studio sent straight to your home.
Original painting 30cm x 30cm x 3cm wide Acrylic on Canvas
