These flowers came from my garden: a king protea, another protea, a banksia and little sprays of golden wattle. I wanted to bring them together in a painting and give each one room to show its shape and character.
I painted this piece in oils and loved blending the soft greens and blues of the background. They give the painting that dreamy feeling I was after, while the flowers do the talking.
