The third painting in my pelican series celebrates the beautiful colours of morning light. Soft yellows and peach tones fill the sky, while pinks, purples and gold ripple across the waves.
I loved carrying those colours into the pelican’s feathers and bill, giving this wonderfully characterful bird a gentle morning glow. Standing tall on its weathered post, it feels quite content to watch the day begin.
