Oktoberfest – A German Feast

Come and join us for something a little different at The Post & Rail.
For one night, we're bringing the flavours and fun of Oktoberfest to Penola with a generous German-inspired feast, cold German beers, music, beer steins and a warm, festive atmosphere.
This is also the first of our World Feast evenings — special nights where we'll explore the food, flavours and traditions of different places around the world. Germany is our first stop, and we'd love you to be part of it!
Come with friends, bring the family and, if you're feeling festive, you're very welcome to dress for the occasion.
To Begin
We'll welcome you to the table with freshly baked pretzels and German beer cheese spread while you settle in and order your drinks.

Then it's time to share a generous platter of:
German sausages • selection of cheeses • rye & pumpernickel breads • house-made pickles • pickled cucumbers • German mustard
The Main Feast
Served to the table on generous sharing platters:
Slow-roasted crispy pork knuckle
Mushroom spätzle
Kartoffelpuffer – German potato pancakes
Braised red cabbage
Apple mousse
Dessert Sharing Platter
And we'll finish the evening with a little taste of everything:
Black Forest Cake • Bienenstich (German Bee Sting Cake) • Apricot Flan • Vanilla Bean Cream
We'll also have a special selection of cold German beers, served in our beer steins, along with wine and other drinks available to purchase throughout the evening.

$45 per child under 16

Food will be served as a set sharing menu, so gather your favourite people, book a table and settle in for a night of great food, music and something a little out of the ordinary.
