Think you can’t paint? This class might just change your mind.
It’s been a while since I’ve held one of my cow painting classes, and you keep asking me to bring them back — so here it is!
Join me for a relaxed, creative day painting your very own Highland Cow, and please don’t let the words painting class scare you off. You need absolutely no painting or drawing experience to come along.
Most people who come to my classes haven’t painted before. In fact, I hear “I can’t even draw a stick figure!” all the time — and I love hearing it, because eight years ago, that was me too.
One of the biggest things I’ve learnt since then is that being able to paint isn't something you simply have to be born with. Painting is a skill, and skills can be learnt.
I’ll guide you through the whole process step by step — from creating the shape and character of your cow to building colour, texture and all that fabulous shaggy Highland hair. You’ll be amazed at what starts to appear on your canvas.
There will be a few different cows and compositions to choose from, so while we'll all be working through the same techniques, your finished painting will still feel like yours.
This isn't about being a "good artist". It's about giving yourself a day to slow down, try something new, have some fun and create something with your own two hands.
And there’s a pretty special moment at the end of these classes when everyone stands back, looks around the room and realises:
“I actually painted that!”
So if you've been telling yourself you're not creative, perhaps it's time to prove yourself wrong.
Get your butt to this class and come spend a day creating with me.
It’s all wonderfully bovine in this one!
