Into the Light - Christian Art Exhibition

$0.00

I’m about to do something that feels both exciting and a little terrifying…

I’m holding my first art exhibition at The Post and Rail.

This collection of paintings comes from my personal Christian journey — stepping closer to Jesus and also stepping out more openly in my faith. Sharing them publicly feels a little vulnerable, but it also feels very right.

Why is that a little terrifying? Because this time it feels like my heart is hanging on the walls.

Until now, most of the art I’ve painted has simply been beautiful things I’d like to be surrounded by — pieces that are pleasant, decorative, and easy to live with. Pretty, but not deeply personal.

The paintings in this exhibition are different.

They come from a season of walking through hard things — struggle, growth, faith, and learning to trust God in the middle of it all. That journey has changed how I see beauty. Now when I look at a gnarly old tree, twisted and weathered by the seasons and wind, I see something extraordinary — a life that has endured every season and is still standing.

Each painting in this collection represents a moment of coming through — a quiet victory after a difficult season, a reminder that even the hardest times can shape something strong and meaningful.

Into the Light is about that journey — stepping closer to the light of Christ, and also having the courage to step out of the shadows and share the story of what He has done.

I’ll be opening the exhibition with a small, intimate evening where I’ll share a little about the journey behind the paintings, and even sing one or two songs written during that same season.

If you’d like to come along, I’d love to share the evening with you. And if you know someone who might connect with this story, please feel free to invite them too.

On opening night I’ll share a short reflection and sing one or two original songs written during the same season of life. (Yes… that part makes my stomach flutter a bit!)

The evening will be small and intimate — around 30–40 people — held in the Treganza building next door to our café. Nibbles and drinks will be provided.

There is no fee and the paintings aren’t for sale, although expressions of interest for prints are welcome.

Dates:

Opening night Thursday 26th March 6pm - 8pm

Exhibition times Friday 27th until Saturday 11th of April.

(only on the days and hours that our cafe next door is open Wednesday - Sunday 9am - 3pm. Closed for Good Friday.)

If you would like to attend, please RSVP for the opening night as numbers are limited.

Please email thepostandrail.compton@gmail.com or message me on 0409486135.

Thank you for being part of this journey.

If you know someone who might enjoy an evening of art, music and honest storytelling, please feel free to share this invitation or bring them along with you.

Please RSVP as numbers are limited.

With a mixture of excitement, nerves and gratitude,

Cindy
