Cheese, Bread and Butter Class - 22/08/26
There’s something incredibly grounding about reconnecting to the basics and learning how to make traditional foods we so often take for granted.
Butter, bread and cheese have nourished families for generations, and there’s a quiet kind of confidence that comes from knowing how to make these beautiful staples with your own hands.
These are the kinds of timeless skills that are wonderful to have under your belt — methods to keep tucked away in your pocket and bring out whenever needed. Simple, nourishing knowledge that connects us back to slower living, self-sufficiency and the joy of creating something from almost nothing.
In this intimate hands-on class, we’ll learn how to make a collection of fresh cheeses and homemade favourites that you’ll be genuinely excited to recreate at home.
Oh and did I mention that they taste way beyond anything you can buy from a shop?
Together we’ll create:
• Fresh Ricotta from Scratch
• Spinach & Ricotta Filo Pastries
• Homemade Butter
• Compound Butters including Cowboy Butter & Vegemite Butter
• Labneh finished with herbs and good olive oil
• Freshly Baked Bread
• Classic Cheesecake using homemade cream cheese.
As the table fills, we’ll sit down together to enjoy everything we’ve created — handmade food shared in a place where it was always meant to happen.
This class is relaxed, generous and deeply hands-on, filled with the kind of cooking knowledge that connects us back to simpler times and the joy of making beautiful food from scratch.
Bring your best friend, your sister, your mum, your husband, your cousin — or simply come along on your own and spend the day immersed in beautiful handmade food, warm conversation and old-fashioned kitchen skills that feel both nostalgic and deeply satisfying.
