Family Baking Cooking Class (grown ups and kids) 15/04/26

You asked, and we listened — it’s time for a parent-and-child baking adventure! Spend a morning together creating, laughing, and making delicious treats in this hands-on, fun-filled class.
We’ll roll up our sleeves and bake classic vanilla shortbread cookies (the kind you roll out and cut into shapes!) and cupcakes from my Grandpa’s treasured recipe. Then we’ll swirl on buttercream, decorate with flair, and of course, taste everything we’ve made!
Details:
When: Wednesday 15th April 2026, 10am – 1pm
Cost: $165 for 1 adult + 1 child. Additional children $35 each (payable on the day if needed).
Includes: A platter lunch of chicken strips and chips, toasted wraps, plus all the cookies and cupcakes you’ve baked.
Aprons: I have adult aprons; please bring aprons for children if you like.
This is more than a class — it’s a morning of messy fun, creativity, and making sweet memories together. Whether you’re baking with your own child, grandchild, niece or nephew, everyone will leave with full tummies, happy hearts, and a little extra sparkle in their day.

The Post and Rail is a Cooking, Gardening & Art School plus a Cafe and Nursery - all in one location. 58 Riddoch Street Penola SA 5277 (in the old Cobb and Co building)
We pride ourselves on our professionalism, warmth, spirit of fun and love of cooking, especially the eating of delicious food with friends, old and new, after each class.
Every guest in our kitchen receives a warm welcome, tea or proper coffee upon arrival, and their own apron to wear for the duration of the class. All equipment and ingredients are provided, and a copy of the recipes used during the class are emailed to guests so that they can be recreated at home.
