Quick Buttercream
If you’re after a never-fail, easy and quick Buttercream recipe - I’ve got you covered!
Using only 3 ingredients, it’ll whip together in a flash.
You’ll need:
250g salted butter, softened
1kg icing mixture
milk
I like to use icing mixture for this recipe. Icing mixture contains cornflour, is cheaper, and tends to be lighter. You can absolutely use pure icing sugar instead. You’ll need to sift it really well to remove the lumps.
Place the butter in a mixing bowl and add about a cup of the icing mixture. Whisk until it comes together.
Once it’s combined, tip in the remaining icing mixture. Whisk on a low speed to avoid an icing explosion.
Gradually add in splashes of milk until it comes together. Once combined, increase the speed and whisk on high for about 1 minute until the icing goes from yellow to white.
Portion the buttercream and colour as desired.
